{"id":11160,"date":"2023-12-05T11:20:33","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T09:20:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aria-net.it\/?p=11160"},"modified":"2025-03-25T17:41:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-25T15:41:30","slug":"breathless","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aria-net.it\/en\/breathless\/","title":{"rendered":"Breathless"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last year, the BBC conducted an investigation titled <strong>\u201cUnder Poisoned Sky\u201d<\/strong> on the health impacts of activities at Iraqi oil fields.<\/p>\n<p>Following this project, the journalists focused on regional pollution resulting from flaring activities in the Gulf region and sought ARIANET&#8217;s support for an initial assessment through modelling simulations. This assessment was based on fragmented information about flaring emissions in Gulf countries and their regional contribution to air quality.<\/p>\n<p>The results of our analysis were integrated into the BBC documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nDmtnFV4njA\"><strong>\u201cBreathless\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, which addresses air quality and the health impact of flaring emissions.
