This morning, we participated in the interesting webinar “Air Quality Study in Rome and Lazio During the 2020 Lockdown,” organized by ARPA Lazio.

Dr. Sandro Finardi presented the meteorological analysis for Lazio during the lockdown period, highlighting the minor meteorological anomalies in March and April 2020 compared to the previous five years (2015-2019). These anomalies included a slight decrease in temperature, precipitation, and wind speed, along with an increase in relative humidity.

The combination of the high variability of meteorological conditions recorded in March 2020 and the prevalence of stable high-pressure conditions, interspersed with brief disturbances in April 2020, does not seem sufficient to compromise the comparison with previous years’ averages for that period.
