On the website https://lnkd.in/eNJ9gpT, the “Annual Air Quality Report for Sardinia for the Year 2018” is now available. ARIANET contributed with the “Model-Based Assessment of the Air Quality Status in the Sardinia Region for 2018.”
This assessment was carried out based on the guidelines of the “Guidance on Assessment under the EU Air Quality Directives-FINAL DRAFT,” which involves integrating numerical models and experimental information provided by monitoring networks to determine the spatial distribution of atmospheric pollutants. Specifically, air quality measurements from the regional network and concentration fields produced by the #QualeAria forecasting system (https://lnkd.in/e67kUVr) were used to create regional maps for 2018, in relation to air quality standards defined by the European Parliament directive on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe, as transposed by Legislative Decree No. 155 of August 13, 2010.
