Cristina Pozzi, who holds a degree in Environmental and Land Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, has been working at ARIANET srl since 2012. In her role as Project Manager, she is involved in activities related to atmospheric impact studies in the transportation sector (roads, airports, seaports, whether under construction or in operation) and the industrial sector. Her work encompasses everything from bottom-up data collection on source activities to the application of Gaussian dispersion models, supporting urban or local policy-making and evaluating future scenarios.
She has applied three-dimensional Lagrangian particle models for odor impact studies of industrial plants and has conducted statistical analysis of meteorological and air quality data as part of monitoring activities. Cristina is proficient in programming languages used to support data processing, such as estimating emission factors for the transportation sector in international projects (Cairo, Israel). She is a GIS specialist with nearly 10 years of experience in using various user-friendly tools for data collection, editing, and georeferencing of sources and receptors. Additionally, she provides training to technical staff from public and private entities on the use of software for air quality modeling. She is also a participant in the European ERMES research group, focusing on mobile emission sources.
