Umberto Giuriato, who graduated in Physics in 2017 from the University of Turin, obtained his PhD in Physics in 2020 from the Université Côte d’Azur in Nice.
During his research activities, he developed skills in numerical modeling for complex systems (particularly quantum vortices and Bose-Einstein condensates) and contributed to the implementation of particle dynamics in a parallelized 3D Fortran code for simulating superfluids and quantum turbulence.
In his subsequent role as a Data Scientist, he focused on developing pipelines for handling large data sets, creating monitoring dashboards, and applying Machine Learning algorithms to guide business decision-making processes.
He joined ARIANET in September 2022, initially working on developing Python orchestrators for modeling chains for air quality forecasting and assessment, as well as monitoring the currently operational forecasting systems.
Skills: Numerical simulations, Data analysis, Python and Fortran programming, SQL, Power BI, Linux
