In Italy, the Air division is represented by ARIANET, which develops, designs, installs, and manages solutions for industrial clients, local authorities, and public entities. These solutions include air quality diagnostics, real-time monitoring, forecasting, and scenario studies. ARIANET specializes in 3D numerical modeling of the atmospheric environment, using techniques and software developed with its partners within the Group and through collaborations with various research centers.
The Air Quality division is about to launch an international IT/development team dedicated to defining, designing, and delivering a new scalable software platform capable of providing a broad range of services, optimizing the Group’s well-recognized tools.
As part of its contribution to this team, ARIANET is looking for a:
Platform Engineer
Your Role
You will join the international IT/development team of the Air Quality division.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Designing, managing, and maintaining the overall platform hosting the various Air Quality digital products.
- Collaborating with System Architects and Solution Architects to provide technical insights on project details and how they are implemented by developers and DevOps engineers.
- Contributing to the Requirements Catalog by defining non-functional requirements and refining functional requirements to better reflect technical realities.
- Overseeing and planning the development of architecture, systems, data, and infrastructure aspects, understanding how the business generates value.
- Leading the software developers and engineers team according to Agile SDLC best practices, and also developing architecture and code according to the platform setup projects.
- Utilizing DevOps practices to enable platform deployment within classic on-premise and cloud-based environments, using Kubernetes and other containerization technologies that embrace multi-tenancy principles.
Your Profile
You are the person we are looking for if you:
- Have more than 5 years of experience as a Platform Engineer and a strong understanding of decomposing and assembling large-scale solutions.
- Organize your colleagues on technical and architectural issues, seeking beneficial and acceptable compromises for everyone, satisfying stakeholders while maintaining overall supporting architecture in good condition.
- Understand that technology serves the business and seek to comprehend the application domain before “writing code.”
- Can easily translate and explain complex architectural or technical considerations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Appreciate the value of a well-maintained agile architecture and appropriate documentation, supporting application continuity and value generation.
- Have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and organization.
- Are looking for a role in an interesting application domain with a real positive impact on the environment.
- Have a B2/C1 level of English and are communicative, able to discuss design and software development issues easily.
