The study titled “Comparison of source apportionment approaches and analysis of non-linearity in a real case model application,” published in Geoscientific Model Development, is a product of collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC ISPRA), to which ARIANET contributed simulations using FARM. The study delves into and integrates elements emerging from previous research.

The proposed methodology provides means to identify nonlinear responses to promote a more informed use of source apportionment techniques. The ultimate goal is to develop more effective air quality plans, leading to a more efficient use of economic resources and a faster attainment of air quality standards to protect human health and ecosystems.
